Book Tag

Lucy tagged me a week or so ago, but I’ve been sick then busy so I’m just getting to it now.

I’m prolly too late to tag, but here we go…

“Wade took the long way to avoid the Market and part of Downtown.  Sally sat next to him in the front seat.  He told himself he put her in the front seat so he could question her, though he wound up not saying anything to her; then he told himself he didn’t say anything because the more he pressed her the less forthcoming she was going tobe, and he knew he didn’t believe that either.”

This excerpt sounds like a romance novel but it’s from the science fiction section. Am I supposed to say what book it is?
